Five women walk into a support group carrying stories no one quite believes: one was swallowed by a wolf, another escaped a gingerbread house, and one survived a notorious killer with a blue beard. A young boy named Nobody “Bod” Owens is raised by ghosts in a graveyard after his family is murdered by a mysterious man named Jack. As Bod grows older, the ghosts protect him and teach him about both the living and the dead. He goes on strange adventures, meets unusual creatures, and begins to uncover the truth about the danger that still follows him.
