At an isolated boarding school bordered by a forest no one is allowed to enter, whispers become warnings, and warnings become obsession. Andrew spends his nights drawing grotesque creatures while his closest friend, Thomas, writes unsettling stories that seem to bleed into reality. But when the monsters from Andrew’s sketchbook begin appearing beyond the page, the line between imagination and nightmare starts to unravel.

Four strangers gather at the remote and unsettling Hill House to investigate its reputation for supernatural activity. Among them is Eleanor Vance, a lonely young woman desperate for escape and belonging.
